PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES

By changing from a traditional polyester based raw material to a plant based PLA, with a Bio-PU coating and a unique Polylactide (PLA) zipper they have created a new type of traditional rainwear. Free from fossil fuel and ready to be degraded after use.

INTENDED SPECIFIC END USE

The perfect packable rainwear to bring everywhere. You can store it inside your handbag, in your travel pack or just bring it in your hand. Always ready even if bad weather is coming.

SPECIFIC FEATURES

A waterproof and windproof rain jacket. The jacket is degradable and free from fossil fuel. The perfect rain jacket for any occasion.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION

Tretorn never uses fluorocarbons, phthalates, PVC etc. They only use restricted chemicals when needed. The fabric is recycled, recyclable or degradable in the Eco rainwear. With the Bio Plant Jacket Tretorn has worked together with Borås Textil Högskola to collect PLA jackets after consumer use. The consumer can send the jacket in and BTH will do research on PLA degradability on the jackets so Tretorn finally can help develop a closed circuit in the future.
