PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES

Åby Forest Axe is a new axe designed to be able to fulfill various tasks required on an expedition. A beautiful hybrid axe for many types of use, such as felling, carving and splitting. Åby has a straighter edge and grinding, and a good finger notch below the head for increased precision.

This axe is perfect for shelter building, processing firewood and carving, as well as precision work. Meaning that this is your new perfect forest companion during adventures and various tasks.

SPECIFIC FEATURES

The long and thin ergonomic handle minimizes the weight and at the same time it gives you great force when striking. The thickness of the axe blade increases quickly to enable splitting properties when cutting along wooden fibres. Treat it with respect and this axe will last for generations.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION

Like all their axes, the Åby Forest Axe is hand forged in Hults Bruk Östergötland Sweden. The specially developed axe steel by Ovako is made from 100% Swedish recycled steel. If you store the axe in normal conditions and reshape when dull, the Hultafors Åby Forest Axe will last forever. This is by far the best option for our environment, to make products of highest quality that will last for centuries. The axe is fully recyclable and can be disassembled into steel, wood and leather.
